Victoria Haller is the writer behind Rosa Aloha. From Miami’s music scene to healing and spiritual practice, discover the experiences that shaped her writing and its evolution from self-expression to service.

HOW I BEGAN

MIAMI

Miami is home. In 2002, I was initiated into its music scene. In 2010, I began writing about it on my website MyMiamiMusic.com. The scene was blossoming. I felt expansive and energized. I wanted to capture it through words.

In 2021, I founded MusicPass for fans to find and attend music events. I felt like people were lost on the internet and missing out on experiences.

More recently, my relationship to music has evolved at the civic level: how Miami Beach can preserve its legacy nightlife and cultural spaces as the city continues to evolve.

Memory matters.

Location, belonging, and happiness have fueled my writing practice.

FROM PARTY TO SERVICE

Our gifts appear because their purpose is to help others. I didn’t know it back then because writing was just for fun.

Ultimately, pain rendered me submissive to change. In 2020, everything had to be re-examined, from deep spiritual beliefs to more shallow beliefs like a haircut. What was me versus my conditioning? Where was the real me in all of it?

The disco ball had stopped turning.

HEALING

At 25 years old, in 2013, I met my first shaman on the Big Island of Hawai’i, Stewart Blackburn. On a Thursday night, at Kalani Retreat Center, he led a guided meditation to a small group. The evening transformed me.

At 31 years old, in 2020, I took a trip to Sedona. Three months into a global pandemic, this Floridian was on a plane to the only other open state. There I underwent a Shamanic Healing by a woman named Paula. I left her session taking baby steps. Like a toddler, I was telling my brain to put one foot in front of the other. With power and might, at 31, I took the first steps of my life.

I moved forward, sometimes trudging arduously. The house of cards knocked itself down, one layer at a time. Deconstruct. Cut ties. Cry. Heal the body. Enjoy some life. Ok, ready? Next layer.

At 34 years old, in 2022, I finally adopted Rosa.

ROLE

I wanted to be a Princess. To have the Princess treatment.

I now extend that love and affinity towards my dog, Rosa. She’s the Princess.

However, my own experience is rugged. The result? I’m not a Princess, but a Priestess. Not to be coddled, but to heal.

What felt like deep disappointment has turned into honor. My strength now sets me apart. Being a Princess is cool. Being a Priestess is earned.

Today, I share what I know. Healers have been there to receive me. Now, I receive others who are also seeking clarity and calm.

In times of utter confusion, there are guiding lights.

GUIDANCE

I reflect. I share. I suggest. These are free of charge and come through in my weekly personal essays.

I also offer one-on-one conversations, which are centered on reflection, intuition, spirituality, life transitions, authenticity, values and personal clarity.

My work comes from my own personal experience and spiritual awareness, which isn’t limited by any one religion, philosophy, or doctrine. Individual guidance is based on lived experience rather than clinical training.

Spiritual guidance sessions are intended for personal and spiritual exploration and are not psychotherapy, mental-health counseling, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

I have emerged from grueling circumstances. I can impart what wisdom I’ve gained. You can bring yourself back to You.

To be authentic. To be love. To love and be loved. I can think of no greater freedom. I wish you the best on your freedom-seeking journey.
